April Review

Time flies, and although it has been an ordinary month, I want to note the highlights of the events that occurred in April, as I usually do for the other months.

After several weeks of visiting the dentist almost every week, I am finally concluding my dental treatment. I am happy with the results. Although there were times I felt scared and doubted the process, I can now see and experience the benefits. I have been dealing with these dental issues for many years, and fortunately, I now have the resources and time to invest in a definitive solution.

It’s incredible that I haven’t run in any races this year, which is one of my favorite activities. Currently, I only spend a couple of hours running. This month, I decided to participate in a 6K. I noticed that I am not as fast as I used to be, but I managed to complete it. As a bonus, I enjoyed the experience with friends who also decided to run.

This month, we elected a new president—or more accurately, we are continuing with our current leader. I hope this period brings solutions to some critical problems our country has been facing. Over the last five years, we have witnessed a significant decline in the quality of life, resulting from a deteriorating economic situation.

Speaking of running, after careful consideration, I registered for a major event: a 21K race in Argentina, scheduled for August. I understand that I need to focus on my long-distance running and adjust my exercise routine accordingly. I’m excited about participating in this event and plan to run a 10K in July as preparation, so I will be busy training for both races.

Additionally, one of my best friends and I decided to take a trip that will involve visiting several countries while working remotely. It has been a long time since I travelled with friends. Since finishing my college degree, I have mostly been at my computer trying to figure out life. Now it’s time to enjoy and create new experiences.

This month marks one year since Pinky passed away. As I write this, I remember the difficult decision we made to put him to sleep, which was one of the hardest choices of the past year. Pinky was our protector for nearly 15 years. I often think about my dogs with a mix of nostalgia and sadness, but I also realize how fortunate I was to have them in my life for almost half of my life.

My grandpa passed away a month ago. Although I couldn't attend the month ceremony, I reflected on his courage in facing life’s challenges. He may not have been the most expressive relative, but I remember him as a respectful man who gave selflessly.

To conclude this post, I have decided to continue with my current job while searching for new opportunities. I’ve come to realize that there is no such thing as a perfect job. For now, I can take advantage of my position to provide financial support to my family, so I will continue on this journey.
