October Review
On the first day of each month, I started to write about my overview, my thoughts and experiences gathered during those weeks, and my conclusions about what had happened.
In the first days of last month, I received a new job offer from my previous job application. Throughout September, I took tests and interviews to apply for a Technical Support Specialist position in a fintech company. I was selected, and I happily started working there during the last month.
This great new year came with some challenging situations. The government announced power outages during the whole month. The situation was critical, impacting the country's economy and the daily activities of its population.
I needed to be prepared for this scenario, the outages would last between 8 to 14 hours per day, something tough to handle. Fortunately, I acquired a couple of UPS that allowed me to work during the power blackouts.
I came back to my gym routine, almost 3 weeks after my recent injury I was able to do my exercises. It was a relief being recovered again because after work going to the gym is a kind of therapy.
With my first job payment, I needed to pay some bills, debts and some other kinds of stuff like grocery bills, food, and so on. Like the song goes: more money more problems.
During my first weeks, I was introduced to the team, and over time I learned about the company, its beginnings, and the workflow. Until now, the work is fine, there were some days they were a little bit hectic but those days are part of the job actually.
Another good news is that in my current position, I need to speak and communicate with others using English, that was a huge advantage to me because I need to practise to reach my C1.
This month was my 30th birthday, I was working that day, but I still could celebrate with my family and spend some time with them. Turning 30 didn't annoy me at all, I think I'm in a good mental and physical condition to face new challenges.
During the last 10 years, I've acquired a lot of experiences that shaped my mind and made me realise the important things in life. Those were learning years, some tougher than others but still they taught me a lot.
The next month will be challenging. The government announced this power outages will continue until December. In the mid of national holidays and doubting we need to innovate and be productive more than ever before
