Bare Necessities

It's important to mention that during the last year, our country has faced one of the most critical times since I can remember. However, such conditions have exceeded our expectations, causing us more problems in recent months.

During the last few months, my country has witnessed an important reduction in its quality of life. Now, the government doesn't even cover basic services for its population. As a result, chaos and uncertainty have emerged as the new state of mind.

This is quite important because we, as a society and as a human species, need to at least ensure we have the basic requirements to live like water, electricity, security, employment, and food supply. The current government has failed all of these.

Personally, I have been blessed with a job in the middle of this crisis. I never thought I could land a good job while the country is in free fall. After all, I was convinced this year wouldn't be easy. Now, my biggest concern is about my family. As I mentioned before, the current situation has impacted the psychological behaviour of most people including them.

Now, the environmental damage and air quality have further aggravated this problem. I was thinking about migrating. Like many people of my age, who opted to live abroad. The economic damage and the health issues this crisis has generated will take months even years to recover.

In the meantime, I continue to think about possibilities and occupy my mind with other stuff rather than complaining, although it's impossible to deny this bad situation.
