Bare Necessities

It's important to mention that during the last year, our country has faced one of the most critical times since I can remember. However, such conditions have exceeded our expectations, causing us more problems in recent months. During the last few months, my country has witnessed an important reduction in its quality of life. Now, the government doesn't even cover basic services for its population. As a result, chaos and uncertainty have emerged as the new state of mind. This is quite important because we, as a society and as a human species, need to at least ensure we have the basic requirements to live like water, electricity, security, employment, and food supply. The current government has failed all of these. Personally, I have been blessed with a job in the middle of this crisis. I never thought I could land a good job while the country is in free fall. October Review

On the first day of each month, I started to write about my overview, my thoughts and experiences gathered during those weeks, and my conclusions about what had happened. In the first days of last month, I received a new job offer from my previous job application. Throughout September, I took tests and interviews to apply for a Technical Support Specialist position in a fintech company. I was selected, and I happily started working there during the last month. This great new year came with some challenging situations. The government announced power outages during the whole month. The situation was critical, impacting the country's economy and the daily activities of its population. I needed to be prepared for this scenario, the outages would last between 8 to 14 hours per day, something tough to handle.
