A Year Ago.


It was exactly a year ago, when the last family member came to this world, just to change ours. This day but in 2023, my nephew was born and all my family were there to see him. It was a charm day, despite the cold weather of January, the atmosphere was fully of joy and ilusion.


I remember asking for day off, in my job the things were a little complicated, but I could go and see with my own eyes the birth of this new member. When I came at the hospital, he was already born, but nobody could see him, with exception of his parents and my mom, so we had to wait until my sister recover from anestesia. When finally could see him, all my family was excited, suddenly they started to compare him with other family members, Who was he most like ?


When I finally could see him, It was the first time I had in my arms a newborn, the idea of holding him scared me, babies can be fragile and I was nervous of hugging hard.


Since then, our lives changed, the house suddenly had baby toys, nappies, baby bottles and tiny clothes even my old toys came back from the boxes where I kept them, the home was alive again. My mom became a grandma and took the responsibility of caring my sister and my nephew during all this time.


I forget to mention that rapidly he was  the centre of the atention in every family gathering, all the eyes turn around him, our routines didn't return to be the same, and over time, we witnessed his changes and stages of growth. 


Now, he is near to take his first paces for his own, it is crazy because when I held in my arms he barely could maintain his neck straight. Time goes by quickly , but I am glad to have him in our lives.

Another trip twelve years later

It has been a while since I finished high school, those were some of the best moments I have ever lived, my high school had a vast surface extension, many buildings and sections, and many classrooms crowded with hundreds of students. There, I studied for almost six years, I met good friends, some love and splendid moments that bring me a smile each time I recall. I never thought I missed my time there, when I was a teenager I swore I'd never turn back my sight to that place, now twelve years later I come back to the place that built me as a person. Last weekend, I had to work as an assistant for the referendum election in my country, as the last time I worked in the same position, I already knew what that job meant. Prioritizing my to-do list

Since I started to document and follow my routine, endless things undone have reminded me that I need to make them time because they are also important. This feeling generates a guilty sentiment and anxiety for not giving them enough attention. But how do I prioritize among many significant things? Doing exercise is important, eating healthy too, studying and applying for jobs are equally important, but what receives more attention? what is not essential? This situation of deciding what requires more attention has put me in a challenging situation. Do I need to sacrifice my exercise routine to study more? What if I focus only on one thing at a time?
