The unfinished projects

There was a time when my friends and I started to believe in changing the world, or at least our world, making things that passionate us, not working in a monotonous schedule or running the rat race; after all, the world was already broken after the pandemic. It was the perfect time to break the dull dystopia of adult life.

While learning and exploring different approaches to enhance our abilities, we enjoyed resolving programming challenges or discussing various language programs and methods. We had reached a certain level to start to make interesting stuff with our computers. Even though we had a headquarters called "El Palomar" (the reason behind the hilarious name will remain a secret for now); during that time there, we started doing different projects, not only computer related, but that is another tale.

When we gathered to program in our office, the main idea was to launch applications and integrate services. During that time, we learned different programming languages, saw hours and hours of youtube tutorials, and read a lot of documentation.

We never finished a single project entirely but we were closer to making it real. Though with many failures and technical issues, we learned to create webpages, integrate different techniques, show a draft and develop at least the early stages of an app. Most importantly, we could make something big at the same time we enjoyed.

Maybe the avarice and the anxiety won us when we saw that our efforts didn't go anywhere; after all, making an application is the easiest part of software development; the challenging part is to create something that people start to use and at the same time to solve a problem with it.

After almost one year, our path was over, and we took different ways; I began to work, and the idea of returning to programming seemed distant, and others were focused on developing other areas of their career. I don't guilt us; we were young and had zero experience in this wild world.
