No human is Limited 🏃🏻‍♂️

Image
A few days ago, the running world witnessed another milestone from the Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge. He ran the Berlin marathon, getting first place at 2h 01m; after 42 km of racing, the runner had beaten the old record he had earned himself years before. The athlete has been recognized for being one of the fastest marathoners ever; knowing his humble beginnings and having been born in a developing country, the 37 years old runner has won the most important competitions around the globe. He also remains the fastest time for a 42 km race (for a non-official race), beating the threshold of 2 hrs. Such as him, there are many examples of superation and willpower, people who have been recognized for their effort and dedication, and for taking the risk to put the limits far away. Human capability doesn't know limits; ambition and hunger for glory can push us to achieve incredible goals. ~S.

Today (September 15th), in the morning, one of the greatest tennis players in history (if not the best) announced the end of his long and successful career. Roger was one of some of the more recognizable faces of tennis and one of the most representative sportsmen in the world, like once were Michael Jordan, Maradona, and Schumacher. A live legend of tennis recognized all over the world. At 41 years old, he won 20 grand slam titles and gave us one of the best rivalries of all time alongside Rafael Nadal.  His merits not only end inside the court; he was recognized as one of the most influential men in the world. His appearances were not only limited to public events but healthcare organizations and foundations. Even for the people who don't like tennis, just watching him play was something that captivated their attention and curiosity. The elegance and their movements were his personal mark. This year, the GOAT of tennis has announced their inevitable farewell. His maje...

Wedding day(Pt.3)

Image
Once the dance floor was opened, all were invited to the pallet to dance to the rhythm of the music. Fastly, the people approached us, gathered, dancing and cheering. I saw my sister's friends and friends of mine dancing around the pallet, and many relatives were taking photos of the event. Some others were talking, distributed through the yard. My family didn't gather all together since the pandemic began, so this time was memorable for all of us, many relatives travelled from distant places to come there, and it had passed three years since I saw some family members.  Times like this only happen rarely. As the family grows and ages, it is more difficult to be together, such as when we were younger. So this time meant a lot to me and, of course, to all my family. All of this will be stored in our memories through photos and videos, and once the inevitable time passes, we remember these excellent moments with joy and nostalgia. ~S.

Wedding day (Pt.2)

After the end of the ceremony, all of us were invited to the dinner a few kilometres from the city, So all the guests had on the road to the place before the couple arrived. When we came to the location, we already saw many people gathered. At first sight, the site looks cosy, and I must say that the weather was comfortable. The guests had come, gathered in small groups, talked and took a couple of drinks and food. While waiting for the spouses, I found a good old friend who comes from far away from the city; we talk a few minutes, and I told him I was happy to see him. Many waitpersons and musicians were helping at the realization of the event, and the decoration and the scenario were relucent. And all things were ready to wait for the bride and groom's entrance when they finally came on; firelights turned on the place, giving them the beginning of the event, and all of us were clapping and congratulating the couple. At the head table were the couple, his brothers and parents fo...

Wedding day (Pt.1) 🤵🏻👰🏻💒

August 27th will be remembered as the most significant day in my family life; that day was my sister's wedding day and her husband's. The event was planned with months of anticipation and with all efforts by my brother-in-law's family. The preparations were supervised for several weeks and even months; a wedding can only occur one day in your life, and this occasion was special because all family and friends were invited to celebrate this event. With the passing of the days, guests started arriving in order to attend on time. In addition, many relatives from diverse parts of the country, more intimate friends, and some other people closer to family were come and travelled the previous days. When the great day came on, all the family were gathered and located at the church, waiting for the beautiful bride, hours before we had dressed our clothes and helped my sister. The photographer took the last photos before the cathedral entrance, portraying the family and immortalizing ...

This is something that I was avoiding sharing or writing about, in part because the loss of that is hard to pass, and I'm not the kind of person that is widely open to showing emotions. I don't want to write here how hard is to turn back my eyes at the garden and not see you, or the fact that you aren't here anymore to receive me when I came back from work. This time, I want to thank you for all the good things that you brought me throughout these 4 years. When you were born, you were the tiniest of your brothers, I thought you wouldn't survive, and with the passing of the months, I thought you were fortunate to live and grow up with us. I want to thank you for all the times that we used to walk or run, you were the perfect partner with who I ever could share this. You did the long walks funny again, and you did me feel proud when we used to walk across the neighbour. You were responsible for taking me back to track again and making me feel that I belong to this family,...
