Ten years
A decade passed since I finished high school, and throughout these years, I learned, dropped, and many times I have given up. But, I must admit that the school years have been the best years of my life and left me with many lessons and friends I remember daily.
In July of 2012, I finished all my high school years; after six years of taking classes there, I had to say goodbye to my friends and class. I remember with a mix of emotions. On the one hand, I wanted to finish because I had many troubles with the teachers and inspectors, but at the same time, nostalgia was knocking on the doors of my mind.
I was 17 then and barely had an idea what I wanted to do with my life; I was lost in my life, without north and waiting for the college season. Most of my close friends wanted to study out of the city, and when high school finished, they said goodbye too.
My relationship with my friends and family was good; I had enough time to share with them and still took time to go to the gym. But, life is a never-ending rollercoaster, and the only constant in our life are the changes.
In the mid of July, I had the last minutes with them, all together reunited, with the uniform of the college and talking and laughing for at last time before leaving to the wildlife as adults. Life was good, but we didn't realize it.
Times fly, and when you realize everything has changed, and even your family have changed.
I promised to always remember this date, not only because I started a new life since there, but it is my way to remember my friends and the old me and see how I changed throughout the years.
