Mother's day arrives 🤰🏻👩🏻🦱👩🏻🍼
This weekend we celebrate mother's day in Ecuador, it's a date to celebrate and commemorate the lives and memories of our mothers, grandmas, and all the maternal figures in our family circle. I like many others grew up inside a matriarchy family, the presence of women in my family was notorious, and the feminine figure was key in the way I was educated.
The hierarchy of my family always was commanded by my grandma, my mom, and my aunts. They were the engine of my entire family, they were a fundamental piece of my life, many times they gave me a second hand when I needed it, or some advice when I was struggling with the typical problems in a life of a teenager.
Many times, they fed me and my sisters, even when they have no reason to do that, they always did us feel secure and loved, that is something that I will always feel grateful for the rest of my life.
Now, when mother's day arrives, the only thing that passes on my mind is to say thanks, and remember all the maternal figures that were part of my life and my family.
