1 year since we changed government 🪑⚖️

Since the new and flammant president assumed his new charge, the current government has had ups and downs in its first mandatory year in mid of a pandemic, economic, and prison crisis. Ecuador has rooted problems for decades, like inequity, violence, and corruption, to the point that everyone sees as standard facts. We have habituated seeing the news and found new scandals in politics or related affairs.

We choose bad politics, there is no doubt of this, but we have to be more critical of ourselves. We have the politicians that we deserve. Our culture is based on the "survival of the strongest," We often think only about our benefit rather than collective wellness.

The new government has launched economic and health sizes in an effort to shrink the financial and health gap that faces our country, all these well-intentioned sizes gave fruit in a short time, but the recession that faced then pandemic and a warned war is a new defiant that the president has to assume and manage.

The change comes from ourselves. Everyone has to change if we want this country to go further. Starting from our houses, colleges, and work, being more open to changes and rejecting all kinds of violence and corruption.

Only the time will say if this government is or not a "government of hope" as they say it is, but for now, only we have to wait and work together trying to make this country a better country.
