Four months as a vegetarian 🫑🍅🥬
When I started this challenge I knew this would be a hard road before I started with this food regimen, constantly I felt tired, exhausted, and irritable, often I accused my age, and I felt that I was getting old and I felt more prone to be angry or exhausted.
Always I was listening to my friends and family, complaining about their lack of energy and how tired and stressed they felt, they had one thing in common, they regularly were eating a lot of meat and processed food, I felt the same although I regularly practiced sports and was avoid eating trash food.
So, this year was the begging of a big change, I decided to convert my diet and philosophy, and turn out into a more healthy and conscient regimen, a vegetarian lifestyle. At the start of this change, I was craving meat and all the food that I was accustomed to eating (actually, I'm still with these cravings). But, I started to note subtle changes, my skin had changed, I realized this when I saw my face in the mirror and could appreciate that my skin face was cleaner, looked more moisturized, and the signs of acne were reduced significantly.
I felt more energy, usually, after time that I finish eating, I was feeling tired, and sleepy. I believed that it was normal, everybody says me the same, when they finished eating often they were effete. But, since I changed the red meat and processed food I noticed that this had stopped. Now, I have energy all my day, I practice sports at the same level that when I used to eat meat, and I no more feel sleepy at the noon.
My humor changed too, before I started being vegetarian, I often was irritable and angry, most days I was stressed for no reason apparently, and felt anxiety. These problems no were resolved from one day to another, but I felt more conscient about my body and thoughts and I could manage them, I start to feel my mind and body as part of "one" individual.
And finally, all the money that I spent when I acquire red meats, and all sort of meats, I saved it and I use them for other types of foods, greener and healthy.
One of my doubts about the vegetarian regimen was the fact that I could start to feel more tired when I was practicing any type of sport. But, the reality is I feel more energy, in fact, I could run more miles since I left the meat completely than when I ate it almost every day.
For now, I decided to continue with this food plan and notice the changes that could happen after a year of leaving the meat.
