Between running and lifting weights 🏃🏻🏋🏻
Since I have memory all my life I was practicing some kind of sport either as recreation or about health and improve my self-esteem. Sports always has formed part of my life, directly or indirectly, I was surrounded by this, in my family, friends, or any topic in my life.
In previous posts, I wrote about how good was to run for me, and how it help me. But, since I was in my senior year of high school I had a fascination with the world of lift-weighting and bodybuilding. But, it was rarely the time with I mixed these two activities (running and lifting).
Every time, that I was running, I avoided or skipped the part of training with weights, and vice versa, when I was in the gym lifting weights, I avoided, sometimes by recommendations, keeping running for long distances. I never could combine all the benefits that could offer me these exercises.
I think, the perfect balance between these two sports can improve my life quality and sports performance, but when I isolate them, only can reach one purpose, if you are thinking only on lift heavy weights I must say you, that you only improve your force but not your stamina, you will look big, but if you don't try to combine with anaerobic sports your body will seem a little bit flaccid.
On the other hand, when you only train your running or only are doing cardio, you could be more prone to injure your body, and if you have the luck to avoid that, your aspect would be, thin and fragile. You could lose a lot of weight, not only body fat, but also you could lose muscle.
Whereas, you prefer to do one of them, try to combine them, and thus you can approach the benefits of two worlds. I was trying to do this, at the begging is kinda complicated, but just until only your body can adapt.
