What's one thing you're proud of?

At the doors of the new year, it is necessary to think about the things we achieved, the goals we conquered, the bad habits we broke up, the new friendships, and the successful histories we'll remember in the coming years. Often we use to think only of our faults, the flaws and unfortunate events that marked us in this year, we can't neglect that this not has been my most successful year in terms of achievements, despite that I can't look away from the things now I will proud to tell you. Despite not getting a scholarship, this year I could advance to a new stage in the selection process, besides that, I could obtain new recommendation letters, signs from my former bosses and teachers, and stamps that verify my experience. I homologued my papers and translated my grades and college degree. This was the year in which I applied most to scholarship programs. I maintained good physical condition, and despite the weather and other external circumstances, I continued practicing m...

How will it end?

It remains only three days until New Year's Eve, and the end of the year comes with a cold winter and strong rainy days, it is the beginning of the winter season, after the El Nino phenomenon that brought several weeks of droughts and intense solar activity, this coming months will expect to have considerably rain and floods. It also expects that with the beginning of the rains, the hydroelectrical infrastructure come back to work and start to supply the country's power demand that has not worked at 100% since months ago. Coming back to my plans for these days, I've decided to spend this last day of the year with my friends, meanwhile, my family will gather in my grandma's country house. I'll take this decision after having spent the last 7 Christmas and New Year's Eve with them. I plan to go out that day and spend the night with them, that going to be the first time I attend a New Year party, maybe I sound innocent but I hope that this new way of receiving this...

Unnatainalbe goals this year

I've been talking about my future goals, my past achievements, and my resolutions for the next year; now it is time to talk about the failures, mistakes, and elusive goals I couldn't accomplish in 2023. Recently, I watched an Instagram post that suggested putting the nine most important areas in life on a map: Friends, body, mind, spirit, mission, money, growth, family, and love. On the map, you have to put a mark from 1 to 10, with 1 being the lowest value reached and 10 being the highest. Quickly, I drew the map, figuring out that many of the fields were lower than the rest, which indicated to me that in the next year, I needed to focus more on those areas than others. The lowest marks were the result of this year; many circumstances worsened the punctuation and unbalanced my chart. The fields that had lower punctuation were: Growth: Unfortunately, I have been stagnant for many years; my chances to grow in this environment are scarce, and the competition is fierce. Despite my...

What I achieved during this year

Although this year was particularly tough, especially in aspects such as the economy, politics, and self-realization, there were many goals I could achieve despite these difficult obstacles. The truth is that I began this year having a job, not precisely a good one, but it would help me to pay some expenses and be occupied for a period. This period was marked by stressful moments but also a learning process that taught me much about engineering and patience. After a year of working there (since the last year), I decided to focus on my future career. I put my hands on programming; I had to relearn some basic concepts and watch several video tutorials to be on my road again. I applied to different scholarship programs; in fact, I moved forward to the next stage in one; unfortunately, I couldn't reach it, although, with every try, I am a step closer to achieving it. Now, all my documents are entirely in English, with the certifications and some recommendation letters. Despite not assi...

My 2024 list

It only remains almost two weeks until this year comes to its end; and for the third consecutive year, I've elaborated on one of the most sincere lists, considering what I've achieved and what I do not in this last year. This year hasn't been easy, I had to handle many difficult situations, stressful moments, and emotional conflicts, but also many happy moments that only can be lived once in life. Having said that, this is my New Year list of things I need to accomplish in 2024: 1. Living away from my parents' house. 2. Finding a stable and healthy environment job. 3. To get an overseas scholarship. 4. Tooth and gum treatment. 5. To run 15 km. 6. Saving at least 1000 dollars during the year. 7. Knowing a different city. 8. Living under my expectations and convictions. 9. Make a dinner for friends. 10. Learn a new song on guitar or piano.
