First job week. (The good, the bad and the ugly). ✅🏁❌

As I mentioned in previous blogs, this week was my first of many others (I expect) in a new job. The first days are not so easy in all environments and employment; most of these days are introductions and schedule adaptations, introducing to new office partners and knowing the facilities.

Throughout this short week, I realized some things I ignored in previous jobs. Many of them don't really matter; some can be signs to take into account, and others can be considered possible red flags.

Each labour environment is different; in my short experience, I never have seen two exact equal job ambient; the people, schedule, and the kind of work, among others, play a fundamental role when we refer to ambient.

One good thing that I highlight about my job is the fact I have time to organize myself in the mornings, being a night job. That makes me put my things in order and take advantage of the mornings.

One bad thing I noticed this week is the lack of organization and sometimes the mess inside the offices. All areas I had to visit were downright messy, especially where I come in the noons.

Last and not least, one thing that I impacted was the lack of movement inside the offices; all employees are sitting down all day, and they even don't get up to take a cup of water. The lack of movement and ventilated areas are the perfect scenario for feeling fatigued and exhausted at the work's end.

The team I work with in the noons and the nights is excellent and dedicated, but they don't have a proper culture of good work; viewing a screen the 8 hours is not a good idea for their eyes and mental health. Just saying.

Anyway, I expect to follow doing my job and try to ignore some of these annoying things and don't pay attention to them. To resume, my first week has been a mix of feelings, sensations, adaptations and tons of coffee and paracetamol.
